provides and updates information on a variety of mental health and treatment issues.

National Mental Health Association (NIMHA)
a resource with many articles regarding mental health issues.

American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT)
provides information on a wide range of problems facing today’s families.

California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT)
includes a section of articles for the public describing MFT practice, insurance compensation for treatment, peace of mind, and the therapist/client relationship

Helpguide
is an award-winning site with expert, non-commercial, clearly written information on more than 100 topics in Mental Health and Life Long Wellness.

Substances and Addiction

National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)
provides information on a variety of drugs, with sections for parents, teachers, and young people. Also has a section in Spanish.

American Council on Alcoholism (ACA)
has self-screening tests, information on alcoholism, DUI, college-age drinking, and links to finding AA and Al-Anon groups.

Alcoholics Anonymous
provides information about the largest support and self-treatment group for alcoholics, including an online version of the AA Big Book. Information in English, Spanish, and French.

Al-Anon
is a self-help program that helps families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of living with the problem drinking of a relative or friend.

MedLibrary.org
is an online medication information library, including medications for mental health

Attention Deficit Disorder Association
provides dozens of articles on child, adolescent, and adult ADD or ADHD, as well as addressing family, school, legal, and other issues.

California Victim Compensation
describes who is eligible for victim assistance, what kinds of assistance are available, and provides application forms, in both English and Spanish. Use the menu on the left to find forms.

a non-profit website intended to help teens recognize and prevent dating and domestic violence.

Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association
